the governments and prime ministers of the world should be extremely ashamed of themselves, they have nothing to be proud of . They have brought the world to a phase where we have thousands of people dieing each day from poverty!

My name was mistakenly put on 2 posts below mine. I only wrote the long one criticizing the person before me about economics, and now this one.

And I would like to second that the milk for the rats is for religious reasons.

Obviously you don't understand economics. Printing money that we don't actually have is one of the major reasons why there is so much poverty. The answer does not lie in money, it lies in people's mentality - greed, impatience, selfishness, etc.

If you really want to make a difference, evaluate they way you live, and what you are doing to make a difference before asking a government to simply fix the problem by distributing money. (think of how the value of that money would change once EVERYONE has it....)

this is so sad the banks should have the sense to ask the government for permission to print as much money as needed to eradicate world poverty.

i think its sick how footballers such as david beckham kick a football round the pitch and earn like over 75thousand a match, theres people who save lifes and dont get as much as them. just imagine if they were on a normal wage, the other money could be distributed to the countries that are suffering.

It is amazing that in this era despite all the humanitarian projects that exist the bulk of humanity allows for our brothers and sisters to suffer needlessly!

I'm using this article to help me with my freshman language arts essay on how money affects lives and how the lack there of can take a devistating toll on a person and family. It's a horrible thing to know that people will spend $5700 on a designer Gucci bag, when there are other's that have to live their lives under circumstances like this. $5700 could change a poverty ridden family's lives. =(

In fact, its the job of the central banks to perpetuate scarcity. This is absolutely devistating to our society....

It's hard to believe what the world is coming to. There are so many people throughout the globe who own ridiculuos amounts of money; amounts suffiecient enough to eradicate poverty itself, yet still people are dying from inadequate food, shelter, water and healthcare. I can't help but feel enraged when i hear someone complain of something as insignificant as a 'broken nail' or not being able to go on myspace, because they are taking for granted the fact they live in a place that actually has access to electricity. Never underestimate how lucky you are, because it is unfair to those who dream of being 'lucky'.
